The Kankakee Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to young musicians and their musical training, from grades 7-12. The committee members work diligently to bring the best educators from the area to work with the students at Olivet Nazarene University. By having the concerts and practice sessions at ONU, the KVYSO musicians are taught in a university setting with all of the amenities that are offered there.
Throughout the year, the KVYSO performs in various venues with the two main concerts at ONU’s Larsen Fine Arts Center in the Kresge Auditorium. The concerts take place in the local community schools twice per year. The theme for the 2025/2026 KVYSO concert season is The Great Outdoors – please join us!
