Plans for the 2021 Kankakee Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra spring semester are underway! We will be offering rehearsals beginning on Sunday, March 7. These will run through Sunday, May 9, with the exception of Easter Sunday, April 4 (no rehearsal).
We are hoping to have an opportunity to present a performance (preferably in person) on Sunday, May 16.
Rehearsals will be held at the Larson Fine Arts Center on Olivet Nazarene University’s campus. Sectionals will run from 1:15 – 2:45 PM for strings and from 3:00 – 4:30 PM for woodwinds and brass. We will be following all precautions to keep our musicians healthy and safe.
Musicians (grades 7-12): If you are interested in participating this semester with the KVYSO, we would like to hear from you! This is an opportunity for you to receive high level personal instruction, to perform with other highly motivated and talented musicians from the Kankakee County area, and to advance your skills for enjoyment, as well as preparation for further musical opportunities in high school, college and beyond.
